One: It's never a good feeling to lose, especially when they've dropped the previous six games. Yes, this extends the losing streak to 7 games. But, they did get a crucial, even at this early stage, point in the standings. As Scott Hartnell said Thursday, it's going to take baby steps.

Two: Their passing was better and much crisper than it has been of late. They had a jump in their step to start the game, were getting pucks deeper and fore-checking better. They took the lessons from the hard skate on Wednesday to heart.

Three: They've given up 13 power plays over the last two games. While a couple might of the "good penalty to take" variety, the majority are made through poor decisions. The discipline of the team needs to be better as they strive to turn the losses into wins.

Overtime: Once again, they did not play a full 60 minute game. They were better, but still have to give the full effort for the full 60 minutes.
