One: Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky kept Columbus in the game in a 1st period filled with too many turnovers, some poor puck decisions and penalties. Granted, the team was on an emotional rollercoaster from the night before in Dallas. Bobrovsky came up big, keeping them in the game and giving the rest of the team time to get their emotions in check.
Two: This was one of the more physical games between the Blue Jackets and Red Wings in a long time. It had all of the hallmarks of a playoff game. Columbus showed that "never give up" attitude, even while being clutched and grabbed by Detroit all night long.
Three: Unlike the Blue Jackets, Detroit is not used to being in the position of having to play this hard with less than twenty games remaining on the schedule. The end of the night saw Columbus in 3rd place in the Metro division and Detroit on the outside looking in at a playoff position.
