Rick Gethin's rapid reaction from Friday night's Blue Jackets victory:

One: Coming out and playing hard and with pace was what they needed to do to erase the poor effort from three days ago. They dictated the pace and flow of the game to their advantage, scoring twice in the first period and once in the second.

Two: They still did not play a complete 60 minute game, taking their foot off the gas after the second goal. They lacked any gusto for the latter half of the first period. A better team than Calgary would have made them pay for that complacency.

Three: This was harped upon last year and it holds true for this game. Play your game the way you know how and go for the jugular. They are getting better at this, but still have work to do. There are 78 games left in the season.
