Three-star guard Anim to sign with Marquette
Marquette University added a commitment to its 2015 class Monday, as three-star guard Sacar Anim announced he will sign with the Golden Eagles when the late signing period opens on April 15.
Anim, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard out of DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, picked Marquette over Northwestern.
After averaging 15.0 points per game as a junior, Anim is currently DeLaSalle's leading scorer at 24.0 points per game through 22 games this season.
Coming off its third straight Minnesota 3A state championship, DeLaSalle defeated Milwaukee Washington, 59-57, in December. Anim and his high school teammates took in Marquette's victory over Alabama A&M at the Al McGuire Center on Dec. 19.
Anim, a consensus three-star recruit, received an offer from Marquette in early February and visited the school last week.
Marquette loses two guards to graduation following this season, while four-star 2015 guard Nick Noskowiak recently was released from his National Letter of Intent.
With Anim in the fold, the Golden Eagles have three available scholarships remaining for 2015-16.
