ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Three players were ejected when a fight broke out early in the second quarter of Saturday's Ohio State-Michigan game.

Ohio State lost starting guard Marcus Hall and top kick returner Dontre Wilson, while Michigan lost backup linebacker Royce Jenkins-Stone for the game following a skirmish that started after Wilson was tackled on a kickoff return and escalated from there.

Coaches from both teams came on to the field to try to break up the fight, which lasted for more than 30 seconds. Hall ran on the field from the sideline; it's unclear if that's why he was ejected.

The officials huddled for more than two minutes before announcing the ejections.

Hall tossed his helmet to the ground and flashed both of his middle fingers to the crowd as he walked up the tunnel after the ejection. Ohio State backup quarterback Kenny Guiton came running and grabbed Hall, urging him to settle down.

TV cameras had a clear view of the fight and of Hall's exit.
