When the Atlanta Thrashers were sitting atop the Southeast Division at the end of December, much of the reason why was because of the outstanding play of their defensemen.
Two, Tobias Enstrom and Dustin Byfuglien, were named All-Stars. However, the Thrashers have gone 5-11-5 in their last 21 games and 2-7-4 in their last 13 and have fallen to ninth in the Eastern Conference
