The Soundtrack to UFC 187: Johnson vs. Cormier - the walkout songs

UFC 187 will probably go down as one of the best cards this year and the fighters competing Saturday night in Las Vegas also set the bar really high when it came to an eclectic mix of songs as they walked to the Octagon.

(Explicit lyrics contained in many of the tracks below)

Daniel Cormier has stuck by the Lil' Wayne track 'Right Above It' for pretty much his entire UFC career and it probably won't change much now that he's the UFC light heavyweight champion of the world. He also opened his walkout to the song 'Mama Said Knock You Out' by LL Cool J before transitioning to the Lil' Wayne song so he got a two-for-one.

As for his opponent, Anthony Johnson, he also chose a track featuring Lil' Wayne as he selected the song 'Moment' by Young Money featuring Lil' Wayne.

The co-main event featured one of the best walkouts in the entire sport with UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman coming to the Octagon to the classic Tom Petty track 'I Won't Back Down'.  It's become his signature song and also a tribute to the way the New York native approaches every fight.

Vitor Belfort has his own custom walkout tune although it's set to the track '300 Violin Orchestra' by Jorge Quintero. It's the same song Erick Silva has been using for his walkouts lately although he doesn't have a voiceover track of Belfort shouting things in Portuguese, which is what played at UFC 187.

Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone used his signature song 'Cowboy' by Kid Rock. Much like Urijah Faber with 'California Love' by Tupac and Dr. Dre, at this point, Cerrone is virtually stuck using this track for the rest of his career.

Meanwhile, John Makdessi went with a dubstep track from Deadmau5 called "Right This Second".

Andrei Arlovski bucked the 'Eminem curse' by using the track 'Soldier' from Slim Shady on Saturday night. There's a well-known inside joke that fighters who use Eminem for their walkout song have lost a lot of fights in the past, but Arlovski helped put one in the win column for the rapper from Detroit.

Travis Browne used a mashup of tracks for his walkout, including a traditional chant called 'Haka' along with the song 'Smack' by The Runners.

Joseph Benavidez stuck with his regular walkout tune for this song using the track 'Stranglehold' by Ted Nugent.

And his opponent John Moraga rounded out the main card with the track 'Thuggish Ruggish Bone' by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
