When the New Orleans Hornets changed their team name a few months ago, they did so with the blessing of the NBA.
And now, it seems they've done so as well with the blessing of the Dalai Lama.
The Dalai Lama is in New Orleans this week for several speaking engagements, and during a break in his busy schedule, he was captured wearing a hat of the now New Orleans Pelicans.
Jason Gallagher of Baller.com spotted his holiness on Friday and posted a picture of him wearing the soon-to-be familiar red, blue and gold of the Pelicans to his Twitter page.
Now, maybe while he is in town, the Dalai Lama could bless the Pelicans chances of jumping up a few picks in the upcoming NBA lottery draft.
He might be a fan of the Pelicans, but there has been no confirmation if the Dalai Lama is a fan of Anthony Davis' unibrow.
