The Texas Rangers 2015 season swings into action on FOX Sports Southwest next week with special programming set for opening day on Monday, April 6 and the home opener on Friday, April 10.
FOX Sports Southwest's opening day coverage on Monday begins at 7:30 p.m. CT with a season preview edition of RANGERS INSIDER, followed at 8:00 p.m. CT by a special one-hour RANGERS LIVE pregame show before the season opener in Oakland against the Athletics at 9:00 p.m. CT.
A full day of Rangers programming highlights the home opener, including a three-hour RANGERS LIVE pregame show at noon CT leading up to the game against the Houston Astros at 3:00 p.m. CT.
An eight-hour programming marathon for the home opener starts at 10:00 a.m. CT and features LUNCH WITH THE RANGERS (one-hour replay of the previous day's game vs. Oakland), IN MY OWN WORDS: JEFF BANISTER at 11:00 a.m. CT and RANGERS INSIDER: 2015 SEASON PREVIEW at 11:30 a.m. CT.
FOX Sports Southwest will cover the three-hour RANGERS LIVE pregame extravaganza with a full cast of announcers. John Rhadigan will anchor the show from the RANGERS LIVE set in the Captain Morgan Club at Globe Life Park in Arlington. He'll be joined by former Rangers Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez and Mark McLemore before they participate in the team's pregame on-field festivities. Emily Jones, Dana Larson, Jim Knox and Erin Hartigan will check in with reports from the field and around the ballpark.
Steve Busby and Tom Grieve, who will call the game, and FoxSportsSouthwest.com reporter Anthony Andro also are part of the pregame team and will contribute analysis and offer perspective on the Rangers season.
The FOX Sports Southwest Girls, Kaime and Danielle, will cover fan activities surrounding the game and encourage fans through social media to share their opening day photos on FOX Sports Southwest's Twitter page (@FSSouthwest) that could be shown on the pregame show.
Among highlights of FOX Sports Southwest's home opener coverage will be interviews from the batting cage, Rangers player profiles, on-field player introductions, the ceremonial first pitch and the United States Air Force flyover following the national anthem.
