More changes are coming for the Houston Texans after a disappointing 2-14 season.
The team announced on Tuesday they have released veteran tight end Owen Daniels and cornerback Brice McCain. Waiving Daniels will save them $4.5 million on the salary cap.
Daniels, 31, was a fourth-round pick out of Wisconsin by the Texans in the 2006 NFL Draft.

McCain spent five seasons with the Texans and had a career-high 32 total tackles in 2013.
Daniels played in just five games last season, catching 24 passes for 252 yards and 3 touchdowns before being placed on injured reserve in early October with a fractured fibula.
During the Texans' 12-4 season in 2012, Daniels played in 15 games and had 716 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.
