Houston Texans rookie linebacker Jadeveon Clowney had hoped to play Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers, however the top overall pick was ruled out prior to the game.
Clowney tested his surgically repaired knee in pregame, and was listed as question as a game-time decision before ultimately being listed as inactive against the Steelers by team officials.
Clowney practiced twice this week on a limited basis in his first football action since suffering a torn meniscus in the Texans' season opener against the Washington Redskins.
