NEW YORK (AP) Trainer David Jacobson finished 1-2 in the $75,000 allowance feature at Aqueduct when Tenango beat Spa City Fever by a head in the mud Friday.

The top two battled head-to-head through the final furlong, with Tenango digging in for his sixth win in 29 starts. Cornelio Velasquez was aboard for the mile in 1:36.93.

Tenango, the 3-1 second choice, paid $8, $4.90 and $3.20. The stablemates raced as separate betting interests, with Spa City Fever returning $5.10 and $3.20.

There was a six-length gap back to St Moose, who paid $2.80 to show.
