INDIANAPOLIS - The first official occurrence of Ohio State's basketball offseason could be the program's most important, at least in the short term.

The Buckeyes are getting an official visit Thursday from Anthony Lee, who's leaving Temple and has one season of eligibility left. The 6'9 Lee averaged 13.6 points and 8.6 rebounds in 2013-14, the best of the three seasons he played at Temple.

Lee will graduate in May and can play his final season elsewhere next year.

Lee confirmed the visit on his Twitter account. According to various reports from the last week, he also plans to visit Indiana, Louisville, Iowa State and Notre Dame.

Ohio State needs both a better inside presence and scoring in general. If LaQuinton Ross leaves Ohio State to turn pro -- an official announcement on that is expected Thursday or Friday -- the Buckeyes will have lost 57 percent of their scoring from an offensively-challenged team in the recently-completed season.
