Tech signee finalist for Canadian Junior National Team

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech signee Tori Charters is one of 30 finalists for the 2013 Canadian Junior Women’s National Softball Team.
               
Charters, who was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and who just graduated from Keller High School in Texas, advanced out of approximately 80 participants attending two regional evaluation camps in Canada.
               
The speedy outfielder who will join the Lady Techsters this fall after leading the Indians to a 30-6-1 record as a senior.  The daughter of Ian and Debra Charters who plays travel ball for the American Freedom Gold was selected from a tryout camp in Vancouver and will move on to compete in the final selection camp from June 17-21 in Brampton, Ontario.
               
The final junior roster will be selected by June 21st with team preparation events taking place from June 22-30. The ISF Junior Women’s World Championship will take place from July 1-7th in Brampton, Ontario.
