In a game that had nearly even momentum swings and big hits and glorious chances at each end, the Wild's Thursday game-winner over Boston came in a single giveaway.

A single, obvious, unconscionable giveaway.

With the score tied, 1-1, in the third, Boston's Marc Savard meant to move the puck from his own end and, presumably, to a teammate. He had time, but not many options. Rather than go through the progression of those options or eat the puck, he slid a pass right to Cal Clutterbuck inside the left faceoff circle.
