Takanashi secures season title with victory in Finland

LAHTI, Finland (AP) Japanese teenager Sara Takanashi secured the overall ski jump World Cup title for 2015-16 by winning Friday's event in Finland.
The 19-year-old Takanashi took her 12th win in 15 starts to reach 1,410 points; an unassailable overall lead ahead of Austrian veteran and last season's World Cup champion Daniela Iraschko-Stolz at 979 points.
Takanashi jumped 96 and 99.5 meters for 251.3 points. Slovenia's Maja Vtic was the runner-up ahead of Yuki Ito of Japan. Iraschko-Stolz finished fourth
It is the third title for Takanashi, and she has finished in second and third over the five-year history of women's World Cup ski jumping began.
