The Phoenix Suns have exercised their 2013-14 option on the contract of forward Markieff Morris.
The contract reportedly calls for Morris to be paid approximately $2.1 million, a slight bump from his $2.0 million salary for 2012-13.
The 6-10, 245-pound Morris averaged 7.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game as a rookie last season while playing 63 games. In six preseason games, he is averaging a team-high 11.7 points per game, along with 6.3 rebounds and 1.17 steals.
