Steinbrenner In The Eyes of Two Yankees Fans

There are so many ways to assess the tenure of legendary New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner. I was thinking: What is a way that I could do it that would be unique?

I grew up a Yankee fan, which hardly makes me uncommon (though I did it while growing up in Massachusetts, which does to a degree), but over the years as I started covering sports as my profession, my fervor for the Yankees waned. So I thought I would consult two men who followed the entirety of the Steinbrenner Era closely: my father, Roy Manasso, 66, who grew up in Manhattan's Little Italy neighborhood, and my-father-in-law, John Tuccillo, who will be 65 in October and who grew up in Queens' Bellerose neighborhood.
