Steen activated from IR
ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced the club has activated forward Alexander Steen from Injured Reserve today. In addition, the Blues assigned forward Andrew Murray to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, Peoria Rivermen.
Steen, 29, has dressed in 18 games this season posting 16 points including four goals and 12 assists. Overall, the 6’0, 212-pound forward has appeared in eight National Hockey League (NHL) seasons including the last five with the Blues accumulating 292 points (119 goals, 173 assists) and 220 penalty minutes in 515 career games.
Murray, 31, made his Blues debut on Feb. 28 against Chicago. The 6’2, 218-pound forward has also dressed in 38 games with Peoria this season tallying 19 points (10 goals, nine assists) to go along with 10 penalty minutes. The Selkirk, Manitoba native was signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 6, 2012.
