Like a college professor giving a lecture on mathematics, Dolphins coach Tony Sparano recently pulled out some self-developed statistical trends to point out why he so passionately loves a run-oriented offense over anything else.
Of his 37 games as coach of the Dolphins, Sparano has won 20 times. During 15 of those 20 wins, Miami has run the ball more than it has thrown it. Conversely, during 15 of his 17 losses, Miami has thrown the ball more than it has run it.
