Beset by injuries, the Stars are turning to a familiar face and a familiar name to fill the void.
Stars coach Marc Crawford told Mike Heika of The Dallas Morning News that forward Toby Petersen will return to the Stars lineup on Tuesday, and that the team has called up defenseman Trevor Ludwig to add depth on the blueline.
If Ludwig's name sounds familiar to Stars fans, it's for good reason; the 25-year-old is the son of Stars great Craig Ludwig, himself a former defenseman and current FOX Sports Southwest analyst.
"Petey had a good game last night and got better as the game went on, so we're hoping he'll be a big boost for us," Crawford said. "And Trevor Ludwig won't play tonight, but he gives us depth if we need it right now."
