JUPITER, Fla. - It took 12 games but manager Mike Matheny and the Cardinals will finally send their projected Opening Day lineup to the field Friday against the Miami Marlins.
With the exception of Skip Schumaker at DH and Jake Westbrook on the mound, the lineup St. Charles native Mark Buehrle and the Marlins will face at Roger Dean Stadium Friday could be the same one they face April 4 in Miami when the two teams open the regular season.
Lance Berkman returns to the lineup after missing a week with a sore right knee and both Rafael Furcal and Carlos Beltran are back in the lineup after traveling nearly five hours round trip to play in Thursday's game in Fort Myers.
