Sri Lanka on brink of win; Australia 133-7 chasing 413

GALLE, Sri Lanka (AP) Off spinner Dilruwan Perera took his fourth five-wicket haul in tests and brought Sri Lanka to the brink of a series-clinching victory in the second test, as Australia chasing 413 reached 133 for seven at lunch on day three Saturday.

Sri Lanka leads Australia by 280 runs needing three wickets to win the match and clinch the three-match series 2-0.

Resuming the day at 25 for three Australia lost overnight batsman David Warner for 42 with the total on 61. He was trapped lbw by Perera.

Captain Steve Smith (30) was caught by Kusal Mendis off Perera and Mitchell Marsh (18) was ruled lbw as he offered no stroke to spinner Lakshan Sandakan.

Perera finished the session with five for 46.
