MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) Cricket Australia says spinner Arjun Nair has been cleared to resume all bowing after his ban due to an illegal action was lifted.

The Sydney Thunder allrounder was reported during the Big Bash Twenty20 match on Dec. 30 against the Hobart Hurricanes. He later received a three-month ban when his bowling action was deemed to be ''markedly different'' during biomechanical testing.

Cricket Australia said Friday that the Canberra-born Nair worked with several coaches in an attempt to remodel his bowling action.

It said Nair had a re-test in Brisbane last week with the results showing his arm was within the 15 degrees of permitted tolerance.

The 20-year-old Nair has modeled his bowling style on West Indian star Sunil Narine, who has also been reported several times for an illegal action.

Nair told the Cricket Australia website that the ban was ''was obviously a big blow'' (but) ... ''I was always confident that I'd be able to fix it and return.''
