Spartans' Dantonio on Saturday's game vs. Ohio State: 'We got a win'
The Michigan State Spartans have taken the Big Ten by storm ever since their 34-24 conference championship statement victory over Ohio State last season.
This season (besides one loss on the road at Oregon), the Spartans have looked even stronger and more dangerous than ever at 7-1.
Entering Saturday's game, Michigan State is ranked sixth in the nation in the USA Today coaches' poll. The Spartans are currently fifth in the nation on offense averaging 45.5 points and are giving up 20.3 points per game (22nd).
Confident in his players and in response to a question by ESPN First Take host Cari Champion, head coach Mark Dantonio said: "We got a win."
Dantonio has all the right to believe in his guys, and they are the favorite going into this weekend's game with the 11th-ranked Buckeyes. However, he may want to heed his words because Urban Meyer and Ohio State have been waiting nearly a year for this game to happen, and they will be hungry for revenge.
The Big Ten foes will clash in a critical game that has College Football Playoff implications. Kickoff is Saturday at 8 p.m. at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing.
