Sources: Blue Jackets trade Steve Mason to Flyers

With the trade deadline approaching, the Columbus Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers have agreed to a deal sending goalkeeper Steve Mason to the Flyers Renaud Lavoie reports.

Mason, who has become the backup to Sergei Bobrovski this season, had a stellar 2008-09 season in which he captured the Calder Trophy with a .899 save percentage and 2.95 GAA.
Mason has not been able to duplicate his award winning goalkeeping since 2008-09 and might benefit from a change of scenery.
Mason is 3-6-1 this season for the Blue Jackets.
