Source: Devonte Fields meeting with TCU on Tuesday
TCU's Devonte Fields will meet with school officials on Tuesday, a source told FOX Sports Southwest. They will discuss his status as a student.
Fields has been "separated" from TCU since July 22, when Fort Worth police confirmed he was a suspect in a domestic disturbance call. Fields surrendered to authorities two days later on a misdemeanor assault warrant.
Fields admitted he was at the scene of a July 20 incident involving his ex-girlfriend, but denied assaulting her, according to court documents obtained by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Fields posted a $3,500 bond after surrendering to authorities.
The Arlington, Texas native was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year as a true freshman in 2012, but started just one game in 2013 because of a suspension and a foot injury.
He was named the 2014 Preseason Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year last month.
