IRVING, Texas - Controversial defensive tackle Josh Brent has met the definition of a "team-friendly" contract with a one-year extension for the 2015 season that sources tell FOX Sports Southwest essentially represents the NFL vet's minimum of $745,000 with no guaranteed money.
Brent has maintained a low profile at Valley Ranch this week by returning to the practice field for the first time since being behind the wheel in a wreck that killed teammate and best friend Jerry Brown, Jr. in 2012.
The 6-2 Cowboys play host to Arizona on Sunday. Brent is eligible to play after Week 10.
