Although it's been a difficult road, Carlee Roethlisberger has finally made a name for herself.

As the younger sister of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, Carlee has had to deal with questions about her older brother for a significant part of her life.

But now as a starter on the Oklahoma women's basketball team, Carlee has been getting recognized for her play on the court instead of being related to a two-time Super Bowl winning QB.

"It's an extraordinary situation," OU coach Sherri Coale recently told The Oklahoman. "Carlee has handled it like she's handled everything else. She's very grounded. What is private is private. She goes about her business and doesn't expect anything different because of her last name.

"On many occasions if she could be known as Carlee Smith she would have done that because she wants to be treated the same as everybody else. She just wanted to earn opportunities. She's handled it beautifully.
