A soccer WAG with the biggest fitness blog in Norway has sparked a worldwide fuss over a post-childbirth photo in which she shows off a flawless physique.
Caroline Berg Eriksen, the wife of Norwegian Premier League player Lars-Kristian Eriksen and author of the blog Fotball Frue, posted before and after pregnancy photos on Instagram, the latter with the caption "4 days after birth" of her daughter.
Critics like Mama Mia blogger Rebecca Sparrow blasted the 26-year-old, writing "The competition for women to give birth and then immediately remove any trace from their bodies that they ever carried a child is OBSCENE."
Eriksen, who says she gained 22 pounds during her pregnancy, defended her photos.
"People kept telling me that my body will never be the same and I wanted to show everybody that's not entirely true," she told ABC News. "I think all women should be proud of themselves, regardless of how they look after labor."
Eriksen is just the latest "hot mom" at the center of controversy. Fitness buff Maria Kang recently faced a firestorm after posting a bare-abs Facebook photo with her three young sons and the caption "What's your excuse?"
