Snow Fairy quickened up on the rail to pull away from the field and win the English Oaks fillies classic by a neck.

Held back in the field of 15 for most of the 1.5-mile race Friday, the 3-year-old filly was switched to the rail by jockey Ryan Moore and produced a burst of speed to hold off 25-1 shot Meeznah.

It was Moore's first English classic triumph and a second in the race for trainer Ed Dunlop, who won with Ouija Board six years ago.
