Sights & Sounds: Kicking off the Eliminator Round in Martinsville

10 a.m. ET -- The Eliminator Round of the Chase is here and teams are already busy preparing for a hard-fought day on the paper clip-style short track.

The garage is buzzing with pre-race action, as teams put the final touches on their cars for Sunday's race. 

Championship hopes are on the line for eight drivers during Sunday's race, but for the rest of the field they are simply trying to take home the famous grandfather clock trophy. 

UFC fighter Miesha Tate will wave the green flag for Sunday's race, but she took time to hang out with Kevin Harvick's Stewart-Haas Racing crew beforehand. 

Meanwhile, the drivers are running through their typical pre-race activities, making sponsor appearances and meeting fans.

There have certainly been a lot of the famous Martinsville hot dogs eaten this weekend, but Richard Childress Racing found a unique way to put a dog away. 

Dale Earnhardt Jr. was pretty pumped to spend some time with NASCAR Hall of Fame member Junior Johnson before Sunday's race. 

10:45 a.m. ET -- Richard Petty and Aric Almirola had the opportunity to judge a bacon eating contest before Sunday's race. That's right, a bacon eating contest. 

11 a.m. ET -- The driver appearances continue around Martinsville Speedway as fans and sponsor guests have a chance at meeting their favorite drivers. 

11:30 a.m. ET -- Martinsville Speedway has moved the driver-crew chief meeting out to pit road so that fans in the stands can be a part of it as well. Like always, there's a big crowd on hand. 

While Martinsville Speedway is very close quarters on the track, the infield space is one of the tightest of any on the schedule. 

12:15 p.m. ET -- David Ragan is driving a special Wendell Scott paint scheme Sunday at Martinsville Speedway. Ragan hopes to do what Darrell Wallace Jr. did Friday and take the Scott family to Victory Lane. 

1 p.m. ET -- We're getting closer to the drop of the green flag and drivers are headed out to introductions, signing autographs for fans along the way. 

1:15 p.m. ET -- You can expect a few bent fenders and hot tempers after the race, but the action heated up before the drop of the green flag between Joe Gibbs Racing and Richard Childress Racing on Twitter. 

1:40 p.m. ET -- Driver introductions are in the books, the anthem has been played, the flyover has passed by and Richard Petty has given the command to fire the engines! It's time to go racing at Martinsville Speedway.
