Former Timberwolves point guard and coach Sidney Lowe was arrested in North Carolina on Monday for failing to file his state taxes in 2009, 2010 and 2011, the Associated Press has confirmed.

Lowe was a point guard during North Carolina State University's memorable 1983 NCAA National Championship run under head coach Jim Valvano. Lowe went on to play for the Timberwolves in 1990, was the team's head coach from 1993-1994 and served as an assistant during three different stints (1991-93, 1999-2000 and 2003-05). He was the head coach of N.C. State from 2006-11, and he now serves as an assistant on Tyrone Corbin's Utah Jazz Staff.

Lowe hasn't been the most successful of coaches over his career, amassing a 33-102 record as the Wolves head coach and a 79-228 mark at NC State.

According to WRAL, Lowe was making $500,000 per year by the end of his tenure at N.C. State, and he still has a home in Wake Forest, N.C. He faces three misdemeanor counts and was placed under a $10,000 bond.
