Corey Kluber may have just one win this season but he's been nothing short of masterful on the mound his past two times out.

Last year's American League Cy Young Award winner has left hitters mystified with a mix of nasty stuff, striking out 30 in his past 17 innings.

Against the St. Louis Cardinals last week, Kluber carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and tied an Indians franchise record in fanning 18 batters.

His encore Monday night in Chicago did not disappoint. Kluber set down 12 in nine innings, including the first five White Sox he faced on just 23 pitches.

Of the 30 strikeouts, 24 came with batters whiffing at a Kluber pitch.

Kluber now has racked up 76 strikeouts, the most in baseball so far this season. The next closest flamethrowers, Clayton Kershaw and Max Scherzer with 66 each, have each made one less start (eight).

Detroit hurler David Price just nipped Kluber for the K crown in 2014 with 271 strikeouts to Kluber's 269.

Kluber is scheduled to make his next start Saturday in Cleveland vs. the Cincinnati Reds.
