The Blue Jackets burn a path into Atlanta after winning four of their last five games and shutting out the Montreal Canadiens in their last contest. The Thrashers aren't feeling too bad about themselves either as they are 3-0-1 in their last four including a win on Wednesday against the Florida Panthers.

Atlanta isn't devoid of problems though as their defense has more holes in it than a collender. The team is giving up 37.2 shots a game which is second worst in the league plus they just gave up 55 shots against the Panthers even though they won.

On the reverse, they don't get very many pucks on net as they only average 27.8 which is 27th in the league. The scary part about Atlanta is that they make their shots count as they rank fourth in the league on goals per game at 3.25.

The Thrashers are led by home grown talent plus some additions from the Blackhawks this season. Evander Kane was Atlanta's 2009 first round draft pick and he leads the team with six goals. He is an exciting talent that loves to score and will do what it takes to fill the net.

Dustin Byfuglien came to the Thrashers via a trade with Chicago and it has paid immediate dividends. The converted forward currently leads all defenseman in the NHL with five goals. He is a huge body at 6'5
