San Diego cruises past Valparaiso

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Mason Mills threw three touchdown passes and ran for a score on Saturday as San Diego rolled past Valparaiso 51-14.
San Diego (2-2, 1-0 Pioneer League) built a 37-0 lead at the half as Mills ran for a 5-yard touchdown and threw scoring passes of 7 yards to Lawrence Larivee 18 yards to Brandon White. Mills was 17 of 20 for 242 yards on the day.
Kenn James helped to balance things out on the ground for the Toreros with 128 yards and a touchdown.
Valparaiso (0-4, 0-1) got a solid game from Eric Hoffman, who completed 34 of 55 passes for 284 yards and a pair of TDs.
The San Diego defense came up with two interceptions and sacked him twice.
