DURBAN, South Africa (AP) David Miller made a match-winning 118 not out batting at No. 6 as South Africa chased down Australia's 371-6 to win the third one-day international and the series on Wednesday.

With Miller hitting his 118 off just 79 balls, South Africa made 372-6, winning with four balls to spare and with the second-highest successful chase ever in the history of ODIs - only behind the 438-8 South Africa racked up, also to beat Australia, in 2006.

Victory at Kingsmead gave South Africa an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

Quinton de Kock made 70 but Miller's crucial support came from bowler Andile Phehlukwayo, who was 42 not out to help South Africa home.

Miller's innings overshadowed centuries by David Warner (117) and Steve Smith (108) for Australia, which appeared on course for victory after making the highest ODI score at the ground, a record that lasted only a few hours.
