Rodney Harrison on post-Deflategate Tom Brady: 'I think he's out for vengeance'

Published Sep. 22, 2015 4:42 p.m. ET

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady won vindication in the courtroom for his involvement in Deflategate and now, judging from two weeks of aerial assaults and the observation of former teammate Rodney Harrison, it appears Brady is seeking vengeance on the field.

That allowed Brady to take the field in New England's opener on Sept. 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which he shredded for 288 yards and four touchdowns, and then the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 20 when he completed 38-of-59 passes for 466 yards and three touchdowns.

Harrison, an NBC analyst, also goes on to discuss the Patriots' post-Spygate season in 2007. Listen to the full interview here (quote portion begins at about 3:15).

It must have been stressful to endure seven months of court dates and depositions, but Brady may have taken away a magnficient desire to destroy the AFC. The perfect antidote to a Super Bowl slump.
