Rodgers says farewell to Brewers in final ad
He spent plenty of time in the offseason taking batting practice from sausages, proving his skills to scouts, and pitching to his real life friend and Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun. But in the latest Brewers commercial featuring Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the NFL MVP is reminded of something he may have forgotten during his spring training days with Milwaukee.
He's got, well, other responsibilities.
With his coach on the phone again — last time, he lost him with "bad reception" — Rodgers is forced to face the music in his final commercial spot with the Brewers.
"Hey Aaron," Packers coach Mike McCarthy says on the other end of the phone, " Remember, you're under contract. With us!"
So Rodgers hands over his bat to Jonathan Lucroy for the last time.
"Hey man, I have to go," Rodgers said. "I got this other job."
Rodgers' "other job" spells the end of the Brewers commercials featuring the Green Bay quarterback, all of which were released at two-week intervals starting on April 3. But with proof of Rodgers' unusual three-step-drop delivery, his forgetfulness to take off his Super Bowl ring while pitching, his bad cell phone reception, and his home run potential, it sure was fun while it lasted.
