Robert Griffin III headed to a private area just off the field during Sunday's Wild Card playoff game to have his knee examined by the team, according to various reports. Griffin led the Redskins to touchdowns on their first two possessions against the Seattle Seahawks. He was limping around the field with what appeared to be a problem with his injured knee but still managed to lead the scoring drive. After throwing a touchdown pass to Logan Paulsen to put Washington up 14-0, Griffin was knocked down by a late hit from Seattle. He was slow getting up after the hit. Griffin went into a small area just off the field that many termed an examination room. He reportedly emerged not long after being examined. Whatever issue Griffin had didn't seem to be too bad; backup quarterback Kirk Cousins didn't even begin warming up. The rookie quarterback injured his knee during a Week 14 win over the Baltimore Ravens. He missed a game before returning in Week 16. He has been wearing a brace on his knee since then.
