Rob Ryan denied head coaching jobs because of his hair?

If you got it, flaunt it. But not when it comes to long hair for NFL coaches, apparently.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan will have to cut his long locks before being considered for a head coaching gig in the NFL.

After 'mistakenly' being fired from the Cowboys last season, Ryan turned around the New Orleans' defense from one of the NFL's worst to one of the best.

But as other coordinators are being considered for head coaching vacancies, Ryan is supposedly being passed over simply because of his hair.

During Monday's "NFL Insiders" Monday, Mortensen revealed executives told him, "If he wants to be a head coach, he has to cut his hair. It is about image for these guys. They want a CEO-type. That's what they want."

Apparently, people have been "truly impressed" by Ryan, but his look just doesn't fit the bill. Maybe he should take a page out of his twin brother's playbook and get a nice, cropped do.

But if we were NFL owners, Ryan's look would probably be the least of our worries.
