Report: Thunder's arena to get major upgrades

Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Arena, home to the Thunder, will be getting $2.4 million worth of upgrades this offseason, according to The Oklahoman.

There will be a new floor installed, replacing the original floor which was put in for the team in 2008. The cost of the floor will be approximately $200,000. 

Suites will be reconfigured, according to The Oklahoman story. Each suite will have some new seats and and new carpet.

There will also be new video boards added to the arena. It will cost about $500,000. The players' family room will also be upgraded to about 2,600 square feet. It's an area used for families of the players which has a play area for children.
