Report: Thunder interested in Vince Carter

In addition to talking with Pau Gasol, it appears the Thunder could also be interested in Vince Carter.

The Los Angeles Times reported the Thunder was one of four teams Gasol was going to talk to, and later Monday, ESPNDallas.com reported Carter is looking at the Thunder as well as Miami, Portland and Phoenix.

Oklahoma City is in need of a shooting guard and the 37-year old Carter is coming off a season where he averaged 11.9 points per game. Carter earned $3.18 million last season in Dallas where he played every regular season game.

It's likely the Thunder are not going to re-sign shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha, so that would free up a spot for Carter or someone else in free agency.

However, the Thunder may instead go with Reggie Jackson or even Jeremy Lamb in the starting lineup, instead of paying out big money to a free agent.
