Report: Tebow, Quinn splitting practice reps
Is Tebow Time already over in Denver?
Tim Tebow is expected to start for the Broncos, but Pro Football Talk reports that he's sharing reps in practice with No. 2 quarterback Brady Quinn. Citing sources, PFT said Quinn had taken roughly half of the first-team snaps in practice this week in preparation for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
The Broncos have lost three straight games -- 41-23 against the Patriots and 40-14 at Buffalo before a 7-3 loss to the Chiefs put their playoff bid in peril. The Broncos won the AFC West with an 8-8 record thanks to a three-way tiebreaker with the Raiders and Chargers.
Pittsburgh, No. 1 in the NFL in total defense, has been preparing for Tebow and the leak of information from "sources" could be a ploy by coach John Fox to force the Steelers to think about how to stop Quinn.
Tebow won seven of his first eight starts this season.
Denver led the NFL in rushing but Tebow completed just 46.5 percent of his passes and the Broncos converted just 30.8 percent of third down attempts.
