The Dallas Mavericks lost out on one former Los Angeles Lakers center, but now they're reportedly in the hunt for another.
Team owner Mark Cuban tweeted Friday night after failing to bring Dwight Howard to Dallas that he is getting "back to work."
Now, Cuban is eyeing another big man in free agent Andrew Bynum, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Bynum averaged 11.7 points and 7.8 rebounds per game during his seven seasons with the Lakers.
He was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers last summer, but knee injuries sidelined him for the entire 2012-13 season. He had arthroscopic surgery on both knees in March.
Mavs fans remember Bynum most for his ejection in Game 4 of Dallas' sweep of the defending champion Lakers in the 2011 playoffs.
Shortly after Howard announced on Friday he was heading to Houston, the Mavs agreed with free agent point guard Jose Calderon on a four-year, $28 million deal.
But Cuban is continuing to work on his Plan B.
