Report: Longhorns pitcher in trouble over urine test

The Texas baseball team is not No. 1, but it appears to be in trouble for it.

Pitcher Corey Knebel has been suspended one game by the NCAA for giving urine to a teammate who was worried about passing a drug test, the Austin-American Statesman reported.

According to the report, the test came back positive for Adderall, the psychostimulant used to treat Attention Deficit Disorder. Knebel has a prescription for it, but it is banned by the NCAA. So the teammate who used the urine starts getting grilled about the Adderall and admits he got the urine from Knebel.

Texas is calling it a violation of team rules. Knebel is expected to be reinstated Monday.

Knebel was sent home earlier this season for another violation of team rules in April, the Dallas Morning News reported. A junior, Knebel was named the best closer in 2011 by the College Baseball Writers Association. He has eight saves this year.
