According to a report Sunday afternoon on a Twin Cities-based website, the Minnesota Vikings will remove the interim tag from Leslie Frazier's title and name him their next head coach this week.

The Star Tribune reported the news on its website during Sunday's Vikings-Lions game in Detroit. After the game, Vikings owner Zygi Wilf declined comment and Frazier said nothing had been decided yet.

Frazier was elevated from defensive coordinator to interim head coach on Nov. 22 when the Vikings fired head coach Brad Childress. After a 3-7 start under Childress, the team finished 3-3 under Frazier, including an upset win at Philadelphia on Tuesday that likely convinced Wilf that he was the right man for the job.
