Report: Doink the Clown dead at 55
Professional wrestling is known for its characters' gimmicks. Some work, while others are regrettable and forgettable.
One of the more bizarre characters that somehow took off was that of Doink the Clown, who started out with a seriously twisted side and eventually morphed back and forth as wrestling personalities do.
Matt Borne, aka Doink the Clown, died Friday in Texas. He was 55.
While the details surrounding his death remain unknown, TMZ reported that Osborne was found dead by his girlfriend in her home in Plano. TMZ also reported that Plano police initiated a homicide investigation, but that that is more of a procedural formality and that the death is suspected to be accidental.
The WWE released a statement offering its condolences on Borne's reported death.
