"When I started throwing up, they asked me straight up, 'Can you go? Do you feel like you can go?' My answer was 'Yes, absolutely,' " Street told the Times. "And I felt fine out there Sunday. You've got a lot of adrenaline, it's a big game, it's a big moment. I'm not blaming it on that by any means whatsoever."
He made no excuses and tried to power throught it but nevertheless got ripped for five earned runs, three of them coming off a Jed Lowrie three-run home run.
Street has converted on 35-of-40 save opportunies on the season. He's also lost 13 pounds due to this illness, lowering his pounds to save ratio to 5.2 (an unoffical statistic).
