With a double-header coming up Tuesday in San Francisco, the Reds are in need of an extra starting pitcher.
That will be Greg Reynolds, a first-round pick of the Colorado Rockies in 2006 who is working to resurrect his career with the Reds.
Reynolds, a 6-7, 225-pound righty who turned 28 earlier this month, started this season 10-0 but has lost his past two starts at Triple-A Louisville.
He has pitched in 27 games at the big league level – all for the Rockies – but none since 2011.
Greg Reynolds will pitch one of Tue's DH games in SF for #Reds. My @FOXSportsOH feature on Reynolds from last month. http://t.co/DSLshz67Mq
